Zanaflex is tablet used for treatment spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. Additionally it can be used for muscle spasm treatment.
Before you start to use this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any:
• liver disease
• kidney disease
• mental disorder
• an allergic reaction to Zanaflex
• low blood pressure
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• breast-feeding
You should take this medicine on an empty stomach. Wait two hours after meal, or take it one hour before meal. You should take it with water and keep regular intervals between doses. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine because it can be quite not safe. Advice with your doctor first about how stop taking this tablet.
If you are an older partient, you need smaller dose. Consult with your doctor. If you are going to use it on children, additionally consult with your doctor.
Do not give Zanaflex to other persons. It is only for you. If you forget your regular dose, try to take it as soon as possible, but do not double doses.

Tell your health care specialist about nutritional supplements, non-prescription drugs and dietary supplements. Inform your doctor if you use illegal drugs, drink alcohol or smoke. It will help your specialist to check if it can interact with Zanaflex. Consult with your doctor if you are going to stop or to start taking these pills.
If you feel dizzy or drowsy, stop using machinery or drive. Avoid alcohol. Visit your doctor regularly for checks. Tell him if your symptoms are not getting better.
If your mouth gets dry, drink plenty of water or chew gum. Visit your doctor regularly for checks. If you feel light headedness or dizziness, try not to stand up quickly.

• blurred vision
• redness of the skin
• hallucinations
• nausea
• yellowing of the skin
Possible side effects which usually do not require medical care:
• dry mouth
• drowsiness
• dizziness
• tiredness
Keep your children out of the reach of this medicine. Keep Zanaflex between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) tightly closed. Do not use it after the expiration date.
