Voltaren is used for treatment pain and reducing swelling. It helps with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
Tell your doctor if you have:
• stomach bleeding
• liver disease
• asthma
• heart disease
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• high blood pressure
• like to drink alcohol
• kidney disease
• an allergic reaction
• breast-feeding
The usual way to take this medicine is by mouth with food. Keep regular intervals between your doses, but do not overtake it. If you think that you have overtaken it, call emergency room at once. Do not give Voltaren other persons.
If you forget to take the dose, try to do as soon as possible, but do not overtake it. If you are going to use it on children, consult with your doctor first.
Next drugs can interact with Voltaren:
• methotrexate
• pemetrexed
• cidofovir
• ketorolac
Additionally Voltaren can interact with:
• steroid medicines
• alcohol
• diuretics
• drugs that affect platelets
• lithium
• drugs that treat blood clots
• aspirin
• drugs for high blood pressure
• NSAIDs
Inform your doctor if you use illegal drugs, drink alcohol or smoke. Tell your medicine care specialist about nutritional supplements, non-prescription drugs and dietary supplements. It will help your specialist to check if it can interact with Voltaren. Consult with your doctor if you are going to stop or to start taking these pills.
Possible side effects, inform your doctor immediately:
• unusually tired
• allergic reactions
• slurred speech
• blurred vision
• chest pain
• unexplained weight gain
• black stools
• difficulty breathing
• nausea
• yellowing of eyes
Possible side effects which do not require medical care:
• dizziness
• constipation
• headache
• diarrhea
• heartburn
If you are not getting better, consult with your doctor. Do not treat yourself.
If you feel dizzy or drowsy, stop using machinery or drive. Avoid alcohol. Visit your doctor regularly for checks. Tell him if your symptoms are not getting better. If your mouth gets dry, drink plenty of water or chew gum.
Voltaren cannot help with prevention of stroke. Do not use this medicine long if you have problems with heart. Ibuprofen or naproxen taken with Voltaren can produce bad side effects. You cannot use many medicines with Voltaren. Check additionally with your doctor.
Volaren make you more easily bleed. So be carefull, do not hurt yourself.
Do not drink alcohol or smoke, because it will increase stomach irritation and you can get ulcers or bleeding in your stomach.
Keep your children out of the reach of this medicine. Keep Voltaren below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) tightly closed. Do not use it after the expiration date.
