Sinequan is ticyclic antidepressant. It is for treatment of anxiety and depression.
Inform your doctor if you have any of these circumstances:
• liver disease
• bipolar disorder
• glaucoma
• schizophrenia
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• kidney disease
• thoughts of suicide
• difficulty passing urine
• an allergic reaction to Sinequan
• breast-feeding
You should take this medicine with water and keep regular intervals between doses. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine because it can be quite not safe. Advice with your doctor first about how stop taking this tablet. Do not take Sinequan more than prescribed. Because side effects are possible.
Do not over take it. If you think that you have overtaken it, call your emergency room immediately. If you are going to use it on your child, consult with children doctor first. If you forget your regular dose, try to take it as soon as possible, but do not double doses.
Next drugs can interact with Sinequan. Do not take it together:
• halofantrine
• arsenic trioxide
• St. Johns Wort
• sparfloxacin
• drugs for regulation abnormal heartbeat
• cisapride
• MAOIs
• procarbazine
• drugs for mental depression
• levomethadyl
• phenothiazines
• pimozide
• ziprasidone
Additionally it can interact with:
• tolazamide
• cimetidine
Inform your doctor if you use illegal drugs, drink alcohol or smoke. It will help your doctor to check if it can interact with Sinequan. Tell your doctor about all nutritional supplements, non-prescription drugs and dietary supplements. Consult with your doctor if you are going to stop or to start taking these pills.
Your relatives should watch your mood and behavior. If they notice any of severe or sudden changes in your behaivour, they should contact with your doctor.
You should regularly check your progress. Usually it takes several weeks to see the effects of Sinequan.
If you feel dizzy or drowsy, stop using machinery or drive. Avoid alcohol. Visit your doctor regularly for checks. Tell him if your symptoms are not getting better.
If you get cold, coughs or pain during Sinequan course, do not treat yourself with overcounter products. Interactions are possible. If you get mouth dry, drink several glasses of water.
If you advised to increase your dosage, check with your doctor if it will not produce severe headaches or irregular heart beat.
You should check your blood’s levels, if you have diabetes. Because this medicine can affect on your blood sugar.
Sinequan make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Try to avoid direct sunlight, wear protective dresses.
Possible side effects, inform your doctor:
• pain in the feet
• abnormal production of milk in females
• hallucinations
• breast enlargement
• swelling of the testicles
• allergic reactions
• breathing problems
• irregular heartbeat
• confusion
• trouble passing urine
• excessive thirst
• fever
• suicidal thoughts
• muscle stiffness
• seizures
• yellowing of the eyes
Possible side effects which do not require medical care:
• nausea
• change in sex drive
• weight gain
• constipation
Keep your child out of the reach of this medicine. Keep Sinequan between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) tightly closed. Do not use it after the expiration date.
