Requip is used for treatment of restless leg syndrome and Parkinson disease. It improves movement difficulties and muscle control.
Inform your doctor, if you have any of these symptoms:
• sleeping problems
• fainting spells
• high blood pressure
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• kidney disease
• breast-feeding
• liver disease
• heart disease
• low blood pressure
• an allergic reaction Requip
Usual way of taking this medicine is with water by mouth. You can eat or not eat taking Requip. You should keep regular intervals between doses. You cannot overtake it. If you have overtaken it, call emergency room at once. Do not stop taking it without advice with doctor.
If you are going to use it in children, talk with your doctor first. Do not give Requip tabs to anybody else, it is just for you.
Next drugs can interact with Requip:
• norfloxacin
• ciprofloxacin
• mexiletine
• omeprazole
• female hormones
• medicines for depression
• metoclopramide
It is not full list of possible interactions. Tell your doctor if you use illegal drugs, drink alcohol or smoke. Tell your medicine care specialist about nutritional supplements, non-prescription drugs and dietary supplements. It will help your doctor to check if it can interact with Requip. Consult with your doctor if you are going to stop or to start taking these pills.
If you feel dizzy or drowsy, do not use machinery or drive. Because this medicine can affects your mental alertness. Do not drink alcohol, because it can affect on your mental state.
If you have got sudden strange feelings or want to sleep, contact with your doctor. If you get your mouth dry, drink plenty of water or chew gum.
Check with your doctor regularly your changes of symptoms. But it can take up to several months to feel this medicine’s effects.
Possible side effects, tell your doctor immediately:
• vomiting
• confusion
• chest pain
• irregular heartbeat
• changes in vision
• suicidal thoughts
• hallucination
• joint pain
• loss of bladder control
• increase in blood pressure
• numbness
• shortness of breath
• feeling faint
• uncontrollable body parts movements
Possible side effects which do not require medical care:
• increased sweating
• clumsiness
• headache
• yawning
• nausea
• flushing
• tremor
You should keep your children out of the reach of this medicine. Keep Requip between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) tightly closed. Additionally protect from light.
